Dr. Box is a Tuscaloosa native, graduating from Brookwood High School in 1991. He received his BS in Microbiology, cum laude, in 1995 from the University of Alabama. He completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in 2000 from the UAB School of Optometry. After practicing in Myrtle Beach, SC, for a year, he returned home to Tuscaloosa. Box Eye Care was established in 2001. His new practice is slated to open in August 2023. Dr. Box, his wife, Robin, and their four children settled on Lake Tuscaloosa in 2022. They have enjoyed becoming a part of the North River community.
